Sheila Hassock Garden Design provides a flexible design service depending on your requirements. From a border to a complete garden.
For clients with an idea about what they want but who would like additional advice about design ideas and options. An opportunity for a professional designer to identify potential and create solutions for problem areas. This visit is followed up by a written report outlining any suggestions.
The charge for a consultation visit is deducted from the complete garden design fees if you decide to proceed.
For clients with a larger area to consider or who require a more thorough design process. A detailed brief and site survey is carried out (including existing planting and hard landscaping, soil type and aspect). Initial ideas and drawings are presented before the final garden design is completed. Usually two drawings are produced for a garden; a layout plan detailing hard landscaping and all structural planting such as trees, and a planting plan detailing all the plants. Visuals may also be presented to give you an idea of how the garden will look.
For clients who want a new border or who have a tired border which needs inspirational planting. Providing name, number and position of plants.
For clients who wish to complete their own build or instruct their own builder. All drawings and documents outlining the construction of the garden.
For clients who wish me to manage the whole process, ensuring that the garden is built to a professional standard. I source local, qualified contractors to carry out the work or provide full documentation if you wish to find one yourself. I monitor the hard and soft landscaping, ensuring a quality finish.
I supply and plant everything specified, using plants from professional wholesale nurseries. A cost estimate for the plants is included with the planting plan.
